Nutrition Health – Is That For Me?
With the increased emphasis on the prevention of disease by dieting such as using Atkins diet, more and more people have become aware of various health nutrition-related factors. The consume society is actually characterized by the unconscious tendency to poison the body. How is that possible? After all, we buy what the market has to offer through the chains of supermarkets. Our busy lives leave us so very little time to cook at home: we find it a lot easier to make dinner from some frozen food we put in the micro-wave, or we simply order pizza.
Children grow up with highly processed food, and develop a higher risk of obesity in young ages. And disease is the main alarm bell that the body rings to tell us that something goes wrong. Diabetes, GERD, ulcer, irritable bowel syndrome, overweight, constipation, acne, cancer and so many others are directly related to diet. Nutrition health programs therefore should focus on consumer’s education.
We can start by giving up on the many salad dressings we buy ready made from the supermarket, and make them at home. And nobody can be cohered into an action like food choice unless he/she willingly increases awareness. If you read labels you should be able to identify those products with a higher risk for health. I’ll give you a simple example here. Think how great ice cream tastes. Unfortunately the taste we love so much, results from chemicals that imitate natural flavors.
What about junk food then? If you just take a look at your shopping basket in the supermarket, you’ll identify those foods that I specifically refer too. Pudding, jelly, creams, chips, toppings, sweets, candy and lots of others are not all-natural, and their chemical ingredients have the long-term power to intoxicate the body. Nutrition health does not equal fasting, but a better care with the food we consume. You will enjoy a home dinner more than any canned or frozen meal. Think about it!
If you have read this article, it means that your interest in nutrition health issue is real and serious. There are hundreds of healthy recipes you can cook in just a few minutes. Plus, you’ll see that health nutrition principles will help you make savings, because it’s cheaper to cook meals at home than to buy everything from the hypermarket.
